I help people find their way back to everyday life after a stroke, spinal cord injury or orthopaedic surgery — and help healthy people stay strong, steady and independent for longer.

What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy promotes health and wellbeing by supporting participation in meaningful occupations that people want, need, or are expected to do.

Children too. Sensory-motor therapy for kids who struggle with balance, coordination or body awareness.
About sessions for childrenWhat I offer
Every plan starts with what you want to be able to do. These are the tools we use to get there.
Activities of daily living (ADLs)
Getting back to the daily things: washing, dressing, cooking, getting out of the door. We practise real tasks in real places, until they feel like yours again.
Bobath approach
Rebuilding natural posture, balance and coordinated movement after a neurological injury, so you don’t have to rely on workarounds.
Adults and children
Training sensation, balance and body awareness (proprioception), so movement feels safe and sure again, or comes together for the first time.
Including dementia screening
A gentle check of memory, attention and thinking, so changes are picked up early and you know where you stand. It’s a screening, not a diagnosis, and I’ll refer you on if needed.
Assistive technology
The right devices, small changes at home and practical workarounds that make hard things easier and safer.
Caregiver education
Showing the people who help you how to do it safely and confidently, without getting hurt or taking over.
Prevention
Lifelong mobility, a sense of vitality and independence that lasts. For healthy adults who want to age on their own terms.
“Facilitating movement, healing and empowered living.”
— the MOVE way
How I work
Natural movement
We rebuild your body’s own posture, balance and coordination wherever possible, instead of only teaching ways around the problem.
Neuroplasticity
The brain reorganises and adapts at every age, and well after an injury. Good therapy gives it the right practice, often enough.
Holistic
Sensation, movement, thinking and mood recover together, so we work on them together.
Inclusive wellness
A safe, unhurried and compassionate space for every body and every ability.
What drives me
My passion is prevention.
In hospital rehab I saw how quickly a life can change. So alongside recovery work, I put real energy into keeping well people well: steady on their feet, confident at home and doing what they love.
Small changes made early — to balance, strength, routines and the home — protect independence far better than big changes made late.

About
I trained in hospital neurological and spinal rehabilitation, where I learnt how much the small things matter — buttoning a shirt, making tea, walking to the gate.
Today I help people win those things back, and help others hold on to them for longer. I see adults and children at my practice in Fauna Park, in their homes around Polokwane, and online.
